Job summary

Universal Business Team is seeking a commercially astute Sales Director to shape the growth trajectory of a profitable, education-sector focused organisation. Reporting to the CEO, you will own the entire customer acquisition strategy, from market positioning to conversion and long-term account growth.

You will develop strategic routes to market, including frameworks, tender opportunities, partnerships and marketing activity, elevating our consultative proposition to drive project delivery

Qualifications

• Senior sales or business development leadership within project-led B2B settings.
• Proven ability to engage C-Suite and board-level stakeholders.
• Experience developing routes to market via frameworks, partnerships and tendering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial growth strategy alongside the CEO.
• Own all customer acquisition activity including inbound/outbound sales and partnerships.
• Lead marketing and brand positioning to drive measurable commercial outcomes.
• Drive a consultative sales approach linking design consultancy to project delivery.
• Lead major opportunities and secure high-value contracts and long-term relationships.
• Build and lead a high-performing commercial team across BD, marketing and sales support.
• Establish accountability, energy, collaboration and continuous improvement culture.
• Contribute to wider business strategy as a senior leadership team member.
