Job summary

The Circle Trust is seeking a safeguarding professional to support the Director of Safeguarding, shaping safeguarding strategy, policy compliance and training across the trust. You will work with Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior leaders and trustees to ensure proactive, robust, child-centred safeguarding across all schools.

The role involves advising on complex safeguarding matters, keeping up to date with developments, and contributing to quality assurance through audits and record

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Safeguarding in delivering safeguarding, pastoral care and pupil support across the trust
• Champion safeguarding at every level and help embed a strong safeguarding culture
• Work with Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior leaders and trustees
• Advise on complex safeguarding and child protection matters
• Keep up to date with national and local safeguarding developments
• Support the development of safeguarding strategy
• Oversee safeguarding policy and procedural compliance
• Contribute to quality assurance, including safeguarding audits, Single Central Record reviews and record scrutiny
• Deliver and evaluate safeguarding training
• Support the effective use of CPOMS and filtering and monitoring software
• Ensure safeguarding practice across the trust is proactive, robust and child-centred
