Job summary

Change Recruitment in Edinburgh/Glasgow seeks a Risk & Compliance Manager to own enterprise risk, AML, data protection and governance. You will report to senior leaders and shape how the business operates, with a small team and direct exposure to the Board.

Qualifications

• Broad remit within a small team with ownership of risk and compliance.
• Experience building risk frameworks, controls and compliance programmes.
• AML knowledge and data protection understanding applied to business change.
• Ability to influence senior colleagues and challenge where needed.
• Translate technical requirements into practical processes and actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop an operational risk framework with ownership, controls and reporting.
• Give senior management and the Board a clear view of risks needing attention.
• Oversee AML arrangements and the work of an external due diligence provider.
• Support the MLRO with assessments and clear recommendations.
• Lead compliance monitoring and control reviews and close actions.
• Maintain data protection arrangements and advise on privacy risks from tech and suppliers.
• Keep policies and training relevant, understandable and useful.
• Manage and develop a Risk & Compliance Analyst.
• Bring in specialist external advice and turn it into practical actions.
