Job summary

Creideas is recruiting a Risk & Compliance Director to operate at executive level, shaping governance, culture and regulatory excellence across a professional services firm. You will report to the Managing Partner and influence strategy, risk culture and regulatory practice across the business.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the risk and compliance framework, engage regulators and mentor the function within a hybrid model based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within an FCA-regulated environment.
• Proven track record in senior regulatory responsibility and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of SMCR, Consumer Duty and FCA requirements.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded approach to risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the firm's risk and compliance framework.
• Hold senior regulatory responsibilities and oversee compliance across FCA-regulated areas.
• Act as principal relationship holder with regulators.
• Drive and embed Consumer Duty across the organisation.
• Lead regulatory change initiatives and future-proof the organisation.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities.
• Deliver regulatory insight to support informed business decisions.
• Oversee governance reporting and MI at executive level.
• Collaborate with legal, financial crime, data protection and governance teams.
• Influence major decisions by integrating risk into strategic planning.
