Job summary

Bestway Retail in York seeks a Retail Communications Lead to drive a strategic approach to multi-channel communications for our retail estate. You will inform, connect and engage retailers with timely, clear information while leading a dedicated communications team across operational and commercial initiatives.

The successful candidate will own the Retail Communications Plan, collaborate with key departments and continuously improve how we engage with retailers to enable business priorities.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
• Proven experience in communications, internal communications, retail communications, or a related field.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Demonstrable leadership and people management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the retail communications strategy for Bestway Retail.
• Own the Retail Communications Plan.
• Lead, coach and develop the Communications team to deliver clear, engaging, timely and actionable communications to retailers.
• Implement feedback mechanisms to understand retailer needs and continuously improve communication effectiveness.
• Partner with key departments to translate business priorities into effective communication strategies.
• Create communication plans for operational initiatives and sales-driving initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve how the organisation communicates with retailers.
• Measure and evaluate communication effectiveness using engagement metrics and feedback.
