Bromford Flagship LiveWest is seeking a Strategic Resource Planning Manager in Gloucestershire. The role leads the development of strategic resource and capacity planning, delivering forecasting, standards and insights to support key organisational decisions.

You will work with senior leaders to balance customer experience, operational performance and financial priorities, ensuring resources are right-sized and available.

Help shape how one of the UK's largest housing organisations plans for the future At Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), we're building a new strategic resource planning capability that will help us make smarter decisions, optimise resources and deliver better outcomes for our customers.

As our Strategic Resource Planning Manager, you'll take the lead in developing the frameworks, forecasting, standards and insight that enable effective resource and capacity planning across the organisation. You'll work with senior leaders to balance customer experience, operational performance and financial priorities, ensuring we have the right resources in the right place at the right time.

With hybrid working and the flexibility to be based from our offices in Chipping Sodbury (BS37), Tewkesbury (GL20), Lichfield (WS13) or Wolverhampton (WV10), this is an exciting opportunity to establish a function that will influence decision‑making at the highest levels, helping shape how services are planned and delivered across BFL.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Resource Planning, you'll lead the development of strategic resource and capacity planning across BFL, providing the forecasting, capacity planning and insight needed to support effective organisational decision‑making.

• Lead strategic resource planning to optimise resource deployment and improve customer outcomes
• Develop demand forecasts and capacity models that inform resourcing and operational decisions
• Translate strategic planning requirements into practical plans that balance customer, productivity and financial priorities
• Optimise resource deployment, planning approaches and ways of working to maximise efficiency
• Establish planning standards, governance and methodologies across BFL
• Provide analysis, insight and business cases that support strategic decisions and investment priorities
• Partner with senior leaders and colleagues across Operations, Finance, Data, Insight and Transformation to influence resource planning decisions
• Develop planning capability, driving continuous improvement and planning maturity across the organisation

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking, analytical expertise and stakeholder influence to drive meaningful organisational outcomes. You’ll have:

• Significant experience leading resource, workforce or capacity planning in a complex operational environment
• Expertise in demand forecasting, capacity planning and workforce optimisation
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
• Experience developing planning capability, teams or functions, with a focus on continuous improvement and maturity
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including working with senior leaders
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of the relationship between resource, cost, productivity and customer outcomes
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness
