Job summary

Hanning Real Estate Recruitment is sourcing a Financial Controller for a UK real estate client. The role focuses on financial reporting, controls and day-to-day finance operations across property portfolio and corporate structure.

The successful candidate will own management accounts, P&L reporting, cash flow forecasting, debt schedules and statutory accounts coordination, while driving process improvements and maintaining robust financial controls. Hybrid/onsite in London.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Financial Controller or similar role.
• Experience in real estate, property investment or related sector desirable.
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience with management accounts and P&L reporting.
• Experience managing external debt schedules, loan balances and redemption figures.
• Well-organised, detail-oriented and deadline-driven with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate management accounts and timely reporting.
• Maintain a fully reconciled P&L with income, expenditure, accruals.
• Maintain accurate credit schedules and monitor liabilities.
• Manage external debt schedules, interest and redemption figures.
• Oversee end-of-month cash flow processes and forecasts.
• Oversee payroll and month-end procedures.
• Coordinate statutory accounts with external accountants.
• Establish robust financial controls and reporting procedures.
• Develop and implement efficient financial processes across the business.
• Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders.
