Job summary

J. Murphy & Sons Ltd in London seeks an experienced Planning & Project Controls specialist to prepare and articulate competent plans for complex projects, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards.

You will lead resource schedules, risk analysis, bid support, and tender submissions, with strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project. A Civil Engineering degree and at least 5 years in construction planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Planning and Project Controls experience.
• Extensive experience of civil engineering contracting within rail and civil engineering sector.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
• Assimilate information and summarise it for clear communication of work scope.
• Prepare a resourced programme and review conformance with expectations.
• Contribute to the risk register and perform programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material to support planned methods.
• Develop resource schedules for review.
• Coach and train team members as needed.
• Contribute to bid preparation and tender queries databases.
• Define methods and establish competitive outputs with the estimator and supply chain.
