Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Project Director to lead Transportation projects in London and the South. The role drives safe delivery on time, sets project standards, and develops teams to meet cost, schedule and quality targets.

The position requires extensive rail/civil project experience, senior management capability, and strong commercial awareness to manage multi-disciplinary enhancements and complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex, large-scale rail or major civil engineering projects.
• Strong track record in project leadership and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, on-time delivery of scope to quality and financial targets.
• Lead standard-setting across projects and manage the project management team.
• Oversee resource forecasting, procurement support and handover processes.
