Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support major projects from pre-construction through to final accounts in the Hertfordshire area.

You will be degree-qualified, with UK experience, and adept at cost management, procurement, and reporting across multiple sectors. The role emphasizes robust cost control, risk management, and collaboration with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in the UK construction industry.
• Experience delivering building projects across sectors (commercial, residential, healthcare, education or public sector).
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts forms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Undertake cost planning and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage procurement activities including tender analysis and subcontract negotiations.
• Prepare subcontract agreements and related documentation.
• Administer variations, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Produce monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and financial reports.
