Job summary

Recruitment South East is recruiting an experienced Purchasing and Planning Manager for a growing, innovation-led advanced manufacturing business in East Sussex. This senior, hands-on role oversees production planning, purchasing and scheduling while leading a four-person multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in purchasing and planning within a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of five years' leadership experience.
• Strong track record in production planning and purchasing.
• Experience within advanced manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• A resilient, adaptable and results-focused approach.
• A degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of four professionals.
• Drive production planning, purchasing and scheduling performance.
• Maintain 95% on-time delivery to customers and from suppliers.
• Develop scalable systems and processes to support continued growth.
• Identify and implement operational improvements.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales.
• Contribute commercial and operational insight to strategic decisions.
