Job summary

Southport, Merseyside-based Pharmaceutical Manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead a proactive and qualitative purchasing function covering a £10 million+ annual spend. You will negotiate with planning, warehouse and suppliers, maintain stock control, and work with management to implement purchasing strategy, supplier selection and project delivery.

The role requires CIPS qualification, excellent communication, strong negotiation, and IT literacy, with experience

Qualifications

CIPS Qualified.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience within a regulated environment.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
IT Literate.
Confidential manner.
Experience managing international suppliers an advantage.

Responsibilities

Proactive and qualitative purchasing function covering a £10 million+ spend per annum.
Work with management to achieve cost savings through strong negotiation with planning, warehouse, suppliers and maintain / develop a robust stock control system.
Ensure the organisation is strategically equipped to achieve objectives via purchasing strategy, supplier management and project implementation.
