Job summary

Deep Sea Electronics Ltd is seeking a Purchasing and Materials team leader to drive supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and manage stock to keep production flowing. You will lead three Buyers, three Material Controllers, and a Purchasing Controller at Hunmanby head office.

You will partner with the Generac sourcing team, oversee KPIs including cost savings, and report to the Operations Director. A strong background in electronics manufacturing and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a purchasing or materials team in manufacturing.
• Experience managing supplier relationships at a senior level.
• Strong negotiation with cost reduction track record.
• Understanding of MRP/ERP and material planning.
• Experience in inventory management and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing and Materials team, monitor workloads and department goals.
• Hold regular 1:1s and team meetings, set objectives and resolve challenges.
• Support with component availability to keep production flowing.
• Develop supplier strategies with buyers and key suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, lead times, terms and rebates to add value.
• Assist in sourcing new products and reducing component costs.
