Job summary

Wernick Buildings, part of The Wernick Group, is seeking a Purchaser to ensure smooth flow of materials and services across operations. You will raise POs, source suppliers, negotiate rates, track deliveries, and support stock management to help meet production targets.

The role offers a supportive team, opportunities for professional growth, and a range of benefits. This is a site-based position at Unit 3A, Kenfig Industrial Estate in Port Talbot.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
• Proficiency with electronic purchasing and costing systems akin to ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Professional, friendly, and supportive attitude.
• Proactive and critical thinker.
• Approachable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders and manage product codes.
• Source and select new suppliers.
• Negotiate rates with suppliers and contractors.
• Track deliveries and verify goods received.
• Liaise with suppliers on quotes, lead times, and deliveries.
• Generate financial and stock reports.
• Support monthly stock takes and FSC audits.
• Continuously improve purchasing processes.
• Provide cover for the Senior Purchaser when needed.
