Job summary

Recruitment Solutions Workforce Ltd in Aberdare is seeking a highly organised Junior Buyer / Procurement Officer to join the manufacturing procurement team. You will raise and manage purchase orders, source materials, and maintain supplier records to support production.

This is a full-time, on-site role offering structured training and a clear pathway to grow in purchasing and supply chain within a growing manufacturing business. Salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build supplier relationships and negotiate.
• Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in procurement or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Support the procurement team in sourcing materials, components, and services in line with production requirements.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Maintain supplier records, pricing data, and procurement documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with production and planning teams to ensure continuity of supply.
• Track orders and deliveries, resolving any delays or discrepancies with suppliers.
• Assist in supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and quality standards.
• Generate reports on purchasing activity, spend, and supplier performance.
• Provide general administrative support to the procurement function.
