Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Senior Procurement Officer to join the Strategic Procurement and Commissioning team in the UK. You will lead procurement exercises, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver best value across a large and complex organisation.

You will work with stakeholders across services, provide expert advice and shape strategic procurement activity while driving local procurement initiatives and maintaining procurement records.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in procurement, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
• Experience communicating effectively with a wide range of audiences.
• Knowledge and experience of working within the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
• Understanding and experience of procuring through Government Framework Agreements.
• Ability to manage your own workload effectively while contributing as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement support, advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Standing Orders and relevant legislation.
• Lead and deliver a range of procurement projects from inception through to contract award.
• Support and guide colleagues through formal tendering exercises and procurement processes.
• Promote value for money across all procurement activity and challenge areas of non-compliance.
• Drive and promote local procurement initiatives to maximise local economic impact.
• Issue contract notices and maintain procurement statistics and records.
• Support the management, administration and training of the organisation's e-tendering portal.
• Advise on category management strategies and procurement best practice.
• Promote the use of appropriate procurement routes, including framework agreements and collaborative procurement.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to enhance procurement outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance.
