Job summary

The Council is seeking a professional commissioning and procurement administrator to support major change initiatives across Adults and Children’s services. You will assist with outcomes-focused, lawful and commercially sound commissioning projects, managing e-tendering processes and tender documentation while benchmarking and researching market options.

Qualifications

• Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve commissioning outcomes.
• Ability to use data and trend analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities across spend categories.
• Familiarity with public contract publication and using e-tendering portals.

Responsibilities

• Delivering low value and routine procurement projects.
• Providing procurement advice and signposting to further support.
• Maintaining the Council’s commissioning and procurement guidance materials and templates.
• Manage the Commissioning mailbox, ensuring stakeholder queries are answered promptly.
• Continuously seek and respond to customer feedback to improve the commissioning function.
