Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council invites applications for a Senior Procurement Officer within the new Strategic Commissioning Service of the Adult Care Directorate. You will lead end-to-end procurement, delivering value-for-money and compliant tendering for commissioned services to benefit Lincolnshire residents.

You will work with internal and external partners, providing expert advice on commercial matters, contract management, and risk mitigation, while embedding collaborative and learning culture

Qualifications

• A procurement professional with practical knowledge and experience in commissioning, public sector procurement or a related discipline.
• A commercially astute officer who can develop value-for-money solutions based on current procurement legislation and trends.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Evidence of applying ROI models, market analysis, benchmarking, supplier development, supply chain management, market management, evaluation models and contract management processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, management and delivery of professional, commercially robust and fully compliant tendering processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide professional advice on commercial and procurement matters.
• Support compliance, risk management, service transformation and improved outcomes for residents.
