Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Protective Security Risk Lead to identify, assess and manage protective security risks across infrastructure and operations. You will lead risk assessments, maintain risk registers and present clear risk insights to senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes governance, cross-team collaboration and embedding risk management into decision-making. A Counter Terrorism Check may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a regulated or Protective Security environment with practical risk management experience.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, maintain risk registers, develop KRIs and implement risk and control frameworks.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles, threats, vulnerabilities and impacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead Protective Security risk assessments using threat information to identify risks and recommended treatments.
• Provide specialist guidance to stakeholders and embed risk management into business processes.
• Define and communicate risk tolerances and appetite aligned with enterprise risk thinking.
• Develop and continually improve Protective Security risk management and control frameworks.
