Job summary

Thames Water Ltd. is seeking a Personnel Security Manager to lead the development and maturation of the personnel security function, overseeing screening, vetting, access governance, insider risk management and supply chain security.

Reporting to the Head of Protective Security, you will embed personnel security into core business processes and drive governance, assurance and performance frameworks across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within Personnel Security, Insider Risk, Protective Security or related disciplines.
• Proven leadership with a track record of building specialist security capability and setting strategic direction.
• Strong knowledge of personnel security lifecycle: risk management, screening, vetting, access governance and insider risk.
• Experience developing and improving security strategies, governance and assurance aligned to best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead Thames Water's Personnel Security strategy, operating model and improvement roadmap.
• Build and develop a high-performing Personnel Security function across Thames Water and its supply chain.
• Manage insider and people-related security risks with effective screening, vetting, access governance and lifecycle controls.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing governance, assurance and performance frameworks based on industry best practice.
• Partner with HR, Legal, Procurement, Cyber Security, Operations and Risk to embed personnel security into key business processes.
• Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for Personnel Security and manage complex security incidents.
