Job summary

Anglian Water Group’s AVH is seeking a Strategic Projects Manager to drive the development and delivery of strategic projects aligned to its long-term growth. You will shape concepts, undertake feasibility work, coordinate cross-functional input, and support business case development to deliver into detailed design or implementation.

You will work with the SGPL to prioritise, plan and deliver projects on time and within budget, while applying technical and commercial rigour and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• What it takes: track record of PM and delivery in regulated/commercial settings.
• Familiar with project enabling and development stages: surveys, environment, land, planning, grid.
• PM qualification or equivalent.
• Operational water/waste water experience.
• Experience managing engineering projects across lifecycle with governance and risk registers.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving approach.
• Strong written communication and presenting abilities.
• Understanding of customer needs and aspirations.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic objectives into engineering requirements, constraints and solutions.
• Manage the project development lifecycle and deliver outputs on time and budget with safety in mind.
• Develop and own the project programme and coordinate stakeholders.
• Provide monthly progress reports to the Strategy and Development team.
• Identify resources and budget with the SGPL to enable development and delivery.
• Input into risk and opportunity registers and mitigate as needed.
• Apply technical and commercial rigour to timely delivery and decision making.
• Present progress outputs to the Strategy and Development team.
