Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Strategic Projects Director to lead a major portfolio of property and strategic infrastructure across UK operations. The role oversees 10 new builds, 26 refurbishments, and 46 BAU projects with substantial investment and regulatory considerations.

Onsite or hybrid arrangements are available. The position requires extensive capital project experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering safety, governance, and value.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with MBA or equivalent.
• Experience managing capital project portfolios > £100m annually.
• Proven leadership of large cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of the Corporate Services portfolio of strategic projects across the UK.
• Manage P&L accountability for the project portfolio and maximise returns.
• Provide direction and development for a high-performing team of 100+ staff.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across projects.
• Develop strong exec-level relationships across SPEN, ScottishPower, and Iberdrola.
