Job summary

The Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a Project Co-ordinator to provide coordination and administrative leadership across strategic projects within the Institute of Sport. You will work with academic colleagues, Professional Services, senior leaders and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex projects and multiple activities.
• Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and governance.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to produce high-quality reports and documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining project information and analysing data to support reporting.
• Ability to work independently while building relationships across diverse teams.
• Degree or equivalent professional experience showing analytical and organisational capability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of strategic projects and monitor milestones.
• Organise meetings, workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations and committee papers.
• Record actions, risks, issues and decisions; maintain project documentation.
• Monitor activity, budgets and timelines; raise issues as needed.
• Support communication across project teams, Faculties and external partners.
• Maintain project records and shared information to enable collaboration.
• Contribute to service improvements by developing efficient project processes.
