Job summary

John Charles Search is partnering with an established engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join its growing operations team. You will own multiple projects, coordinate internal departments and drive on-time delivery.

This role suits a proactive, commercially aware professional who can confidently challenge deadlines and keep projects moving, rather than merely reporting delays.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, construction or similar project-driven environment.
• Strong organisational skills managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Confident communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at different levels.
• Experience using project planning tools, including Gantt charts and project scheduling software.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach with accountability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent project management certification.
• Six Sigma qualification or experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience coordinating engineering, manufacturing or installation activities.
• Understanding of project budgets, risk management and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering and manufacturing projects from planning to completion.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, production, procurement and operations teams to hit milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, Gantt charts, timelines and progress reports.
• Proactively monitor progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Challenge stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Manage priorities, resources and deadlines across a busy environment.
• Maintain project documentation, risk registers and progress updates.
• Act as central point between internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and efficiency.
