Job summary

Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby seeks a Project Delivery Professional to lead the Core Production Programme on a high-profile, long-term submarine project. You will own defined work packages, govern project artefacts, and report status to stakeholders.

The role requires proven project management experience, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and familiarity with tools such as SAP and P6. UK nationality with SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent industry experience preferable or Degree level qualification.
• Experience of leading an Integrated Project Team, ideally within engineering/manufacturing.
• Attained APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent; or can demonstrate equivalent PM knowledge.
• Demonstrate good experience of working & delivering in cross functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience of SAP and P6 preferable.
• Team player with an ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the successful delivery of defined work package.
• Facilitate and govern project management documents and artefacts.
• Report the status of assigned work in accordance with the requirements of the project.
• Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project KPI.
• Review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.
• Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures to achieve project success criteria.
• Accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders in accordance with defined timescales.
• Facilitate and manage risk and opportunity activities.
