Job summary

GCHQ in Cheltenham is seeking a Principal Project Manager to deliver a range of complex, high‑impact projects across business change and technology delivery. You will shape delivery approaches, guide multi‑disciplinary teams, and drive governance and business-case development to support investment decisions.

You will engage senior stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Recognised project management qualification (PMQ, PMP or PRINCE2) and GCSEs.
• Experience delivering projects across varied environments, including agile, digital or engineering settings.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex and high‑impact projects across business change and technical delivery.
• Set delivery approach, manage time, cost, quality and benefits.
• Provide governance, assurance and business cases to support investment decisions.
