Job summary

DeepMind seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead frontier strategy and governance initiatives. You will shape cross-functional plans, coordinate with researchers, policy colleagues and executives, and drive end-to-end delivery of high-stakes programs.

You will operate in ambiguity, build scalable processes, manage executive sessions, and track decisions to impact research and governance strategies at scale within Google DeepMind's global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in program management delivering time-bound initiatives.
• Experience with AGI landscape, AI safety, or tech policy.
• Experience designing operational frameworks and cross-functional processes.
• Proven ability to influence executives to shape strategy.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in technical/policy/government contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery of complex frontier AI workstreams; align with team leads and cross-functional partners.
• Drive collaboration across Google and partners with researchers, policy colleagues, and executives to accelerate governance initiatives.
• Oversee the operating rhythm for executive sessions and ensure decisions translate into action.
• Navigate high ambiguity, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to operational challenges.
• Review and improve processes and information flows using data and AI tooling.
