Job summary

LJ Recruitment is seeking a highly organised Production Planner for a manufacturing operation in Herefordshire. You will plan and coordinate production to meet customer demand, optimise resource use and maintain lead times, inventory and waste control.

You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the right products are produced on time, while minimising delays and improving planning processes. A proactive approach and strong problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Experience using APS, ERP or MRP planning systems & MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
• Plan manufacturing capacity and optimise the use of available resources.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available when required.
• Work closely with production and customer service teams to maintain excellent service levels.
• Identify potential production delays and proactively implement solutions.
• Continuously improve planning processes, systems and production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate planning information using ERP/APS systems and Excel.
