Job summary

HRGO Recruitment, in partnership with a busy manufacturing business in Hailsham, is seeking a proactive, highly organised Production Planner. This pivotal role ensures machinery and labour are planned to maximise efficiency while responding quickly to unplanned changes such as breakdowns, absenteeism and shifting customer requirements.

You will act as a key link between Sales, Transport, Warehouse and Production, keeping plans realistic, aligned and deliverable.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning/scheduling within manufacturing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changeable environment.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production schedules to meet shipping dates.
• Monitor progress of work orders and manage risks to delivery dates.
• Order raw materials from approved suppliers in time to support production.
• Provide data-driven reports highlighting performance and efficiency opportunities.
• Plan, organise and manage workloads to meet timescales.
• Drive operational improvements across the production function.
• Collaborate with Sales, Transport and Warehouse to ensure feasible plans.
• Ensure safety and compliance are prioritized.
• Maintain strong internal communication and teamwork.
