Job summary

Alliance Automotive Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Digital Product Owner to lead the Sales API, driving market expansion and partner integrations. You will translate customer requirements into technical roadmaps, work with key accounts, and ensure successful implementations with an API-first mindset.

The role requires strong API architecture knowledge, experience with RESTful interfaces, and a practical understanding of data structures and authentication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning or managing API products or technical integrations in a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, data structures (JSON/XML) and integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data validation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own the Sales API roadmap, prioritising features based on competitive positioning, commercial value, customer demand, and engineering capacity.
• Act as technical consultant to customers and partners and guide successful integrations.
• Manage the product backlog, write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for API behaviour and data validation.
• Define API requirements including endpoints, payload structures and authentication, and ensure alignment with business rules.
• Collaborate with engineering in Agile ceremonies and ensure API documentation is accurate and useful for integrators.
