Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is recruiting a Bid Manager to lead the SQ and tender process in social housing and property services, driving competitive, high-quality submissions for Housing Associations, Local Authorities and RSLs.

You will plan bid strategies, coordinate with business units and the supply chain, write persuasive responses, manage bid launch and mid-bid reviews, and present opportunities at bidder conferences to secure major contracts.

Qualifications

• Significant bid writing & tender management experience.
• Leadership and project management experience.
• IT proficient in Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Ability to engage with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the SQ and Tender process to meet client deadlines.
• Develop strategies and unique selling points to win bids.
• Gather information with the supply chain to produce quality responses.
• Research and write responses reflecting client requirements.
• Manage launch and mid-bid review meetings.
• Demonstrate commercial understanding and liaise with estimators.
• Maintain relationships with clients and consultants.
• Attend bidder conferences and dialogue sessions as required.
• Review bids before submission; manage post-tender clarifications.
• Prepare and lead site visits and brief interview teams.
