Job summary

Thales is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to join the Glasgow UK team. The role focuses on defining and executing procurement strategies across project, development and production phases within a multinational, multi-site setting.

You will liaise between internal customers and transnational procurements, optimise costs with Category and Subcontract Managers, and monitor plan execution with a procurement dashboard. A strong negotiation and stakeholder management background is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable understanding of the procurement lifecycle and supplier management.
• Experience in complex multinational, multi-site organisations; Defence/Aerospace desirable.
• Strong project management and risk/opportunity assessment abilities; end-to-end procurement.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing and executing the procurement acquisition plan/strategy (project, product development and production phases) in accordance with targets.
• Being an effective link between the internal customer and transnational procurements and the interface to all segments/categories.
• Validating the availability of offers on the market of the product/project design.
• Optimising the cost of procured parts in collaboration with Category Managers/Subcontract Managers/Tactical Buyers.
• Liaising with operational teams and Category Managers/Subcontract Managers / Tactical Buyers to monitor execution and update the procurement dashboard.
• Defining and monitoring the contractual requirements of the procurement acquisition plan.
