Job summary

Westland Horticulture Ltd in Dungannon seeks a commercially focused Procurement Manager to join our procurement team. You will develop category and sourcing strategies to improve cost, sourcing and supply resilience across multi-site operations.

Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to secure best value, manage supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in cost and service levels.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and supplier management.
• Proven financial and commercial acumen to manage costs and profitability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for negotiating with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Experience with planning systems and ERP solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Experience in international procurement and global supply chains, including Incoterms and landed-cost calculations.
• Experience in category management and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and supply security.
• Identify and develop UK and international suppliers and lead negotiations and contracting.
• Analyse market intelligence, pricing and total cost of ownership to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Assess and mitigate supply-chain risks with contingency plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to align procurement with priorities.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, ethics and group policies, maintaining transparent supplier relationships.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and report to senior management.
• Support group procurement and supplier base development.
