Job summary

East West Connect Ltd is seeking a seasoned Head of Procurement to lead the development of a dedicated procurement function across the group. You will onboard suppliers in line with ISO procedures, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure best-value purchasing through strong supplier relationships and commercial rigor.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent experience (E).
• CIPS Level 4 qualification (D).
• MCIPS membership (D).
• Team management experience (E).
• Experience managing multi-faceted supply chains for complex M&E projects (E).
• Experience delivering cost efficiencies in dynamic purchasing (E).
• Ability to support construction tenders and add value to bids (E).
• Strong commercial acumen and relationships with supply chain (E).
• Full awareness of procurement and framework knowledge (E).
• Stock transactions management and online inventory understanding (E).
• Public procurement regulation knowledge (D).
• Health, Safety and Environmental regulations knowledge (D).
• PPE knowledge and PPE register maintenance (D).
• Data security awareness (D).
• Excellent planning, leadership and organisational skills (E).
• Advanced influencing and commercial negotiation skills (E).
• Relationship development with stakeholders (E).
• Track record with engineers/project managers (E).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day procurement operations in line with commercial best practices.
• Onboard supply chain members using ISO compliant processes and maintain standards.
• Manage procurement team and contribute to development of the department.
• Coordinate tender processes and supplier capability tracking.
• Collaborate with Legal to refine contract clauses and liability terms.
• Deliver data-driven presentations to senior leadership and board.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement cost-saving improvements.
• Introduce new systems/software and drive adoption across teams.
• Travel to various sites with a full UK driving licence.
