Job summary

hireful is seeking a dynamic procurement leader to drive strategic value, compliance and continuous improvement across a forward-thinking housing group. Based at the HQ in Chatham, Kent, with some remote options, the role heads the procurement function, managing a team of four to develop and embed a high-performing contract management culture.

• MCIPS qualification (full or part-qualified) or equivalent.
• Proven leadership within a public or regulated procurement environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities and stakeholder management skills; deep knowledge of the Procurement Regulations 2024.
• A persuasive, detail-oriented leadership style capable of motivating teams.

• Lead, mentor, and empower a team of 4 direct reports.
• Present key tender strategies to the leadership team and the Board.
• Oversee purchase-to-pay systems, internal controls, and procurement training.

Job description

Are you a dynamic procurement leader ready to drive strategic value, compliance, and continuous improvement across a forward-thinking housing group?

This role heads up the procurement function, manages a team of four, with the mission to develop and embed a high-performing contract management culture.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Finance & Treasury, you will take overall ownership of the procurement and insurance strategies for the organisation.

You will guide the organisation through the evolving public sector landscape, ensuring value for money, compliance with the Procurement Regulations 2024, and seamless execution across all spend thresholds.

This role is based out of the HQ at Chatham, Kent with some options for home working. Salary circa GBP70-75,000 plus excellent benefits package that includes generous holiday allowance.
