The Head of Procurement at National Trust for Scotland leads the procurement and supply-chain activity across the charity, shaping strategy, policy and standards while ensuring best value and sustainability across multiple sites.

You will drive strategic sourcing, governance and supplier performance, build capability in properties and central teams and report on savings and benefits against the organisation’s conservation and financial objectives.

Qualifications

• MCIPS/ CIPS Level 5 or above, a degree or equivalent senior procurement experience.
• UK driving licence required for travel across Trust properties.

Responsabilités

• Develop procurement strategy aligned with the Trust’s corporate strategy, financial plans and conservation purpose.
• Create and maintain a prioritised savings and value pipeline with baselines, owners and delivery dates.
• Lead strategic sourcing, tendering and negotiation for high‑value goods, works and services to secure best whole‑life value.
• Embed environmental sustainability in sourcing and contract management across whole-life carbon and resource use.
• Simplify and standardise end‑to‑end purchasing with proportionate controls and self‑service where appropriate.
• Improve source‑to‑pay compliance, spend visibility, and reporting using Dynamics 365 and other tools.
• Establish category plans and supplier performance frameworks to improve cost, service and resilience.
• Manage procurement and supply‑chain risk, including due diligence and contract expiry planning.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, funder conditions, and organisational policies including sustainability targets.
• Build strong relationships with budget holders, properties, Finance, Legal and strategic suppliers.
• Lead and develop the procurement team and strengthen commercial capability across the Trust.
