Job summary

Zero Waste Scotland is seeking a Procurement Business Partner to drive end-to-end procurement activities and support the delivery of the corporate plan. You will lead tendering, contract and supplier relationship management while promoting sustainable procurement.

Working with the Procurement and Grants team, you will ensure governance compliance, manage costs, optimise supplier performance, and help the organisation maximise impact on the circular economy across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading on end to end procurement activity (public sector experience desirable).
• Good working knowledge of MS365 applications.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders that focus on developing understanding of procurement benefits.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong team working skills with high self-motivation and flexibility.
• Desire to promote best practice procurement and value for money activity.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support and partner with colleagues within the Procurement and Grants team to lead all aspects of the procurement cycle.
• Drive development, tendering and contract and supplier relationship management to achieve best practices.
• Collaborate across the organisation to progress procurement activity aligned to the Corporate Plan.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with governance requirements and national legislation.
