GRS Group is seeking a proactive procurement professional to manage packaging and aggregate sourcing across our bagging plants. You will drive cost-saving initiatives, build strong supplier partnerships and ensure continuity of supply while supporting the business with market intelligence and procurement insights.

You will lead supplier reviews, manage performance, and maintain accurate procurement records.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement experience within aggregates, construction materials, quarrying, or related industries.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement projects.
• Excellent analytical and financial awareness.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of haulage, logistics and supply chain management.
• Understanding of sustainability and responsible sourcing requirements.
• Commercially astute and results focused.
• Strong negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative team player with strong leadership capability.
• Be prepared to travel with occasional overnight stay.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Procurement of all packaging and aggregate for BP bagging plants.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing initiatives.
• Build and maintain supplier partnerships and relationships.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.
• Manage supplier performance and ensure quality, service and value.
• Secure long-term supply arrangements to support demand and growth.
• Conduct supplier reviews and performance evaluations.
• Monitor market pricing, trends and competitor activity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and margin improvement.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and transport teams on procurement opportunities.
• Assist in contingency planning for supply shortages.
