Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is recruiting for a Main area Procurement Grade Band 7 at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. The role offers flexible working with partial home working (about 3 days per week) and a 37.5-hour week.

The salary range is £49,387–£56,515 per year, with 27 days leave rising with service and potential flexi-leave accrual. You will manage Black Country Pathology Procurement and related projects, leading the procurement team and advising Trust

Qualifications

• Full CIPS membership is required.
• Experience in managing and developing staff to meet changing service needs.
• Ability to manage own and team workload with effective delegation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of PCR2015 and PA2023 procurement directives and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Black Country Pathology Procurement activity and other bespoke commercial projects within the Black Country ICB and Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent ICB trusts and NMBC customers, ensuring compliance with EU/UK procurement regulations.
• Lead the Black Country Pathology Procurement Team activity within the NMBC.
• Contribute to the development of the Black Country Pathology Procurement Team.
• Lead on and support identified commercial issues and key commodity areas, providing timely advice to relevant Trust Committees.
