Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Procurement professional to support planning, supplier onboarding, and contract administration for a large engineering programme in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering value through cost improvement, supplier development, and robust governance across multiple stakeholders.

You will contribute to pre- and post-contract activities, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within Contracts & Procurement, preferably within motorsport, automotive, engineering, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
• Basic understanding of contract law, procurement principles and commercial negotiation techniques.
• Exposure to both pre-contract and post-contract activities.
• CIPS qualification or working towards membership would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
• Strong analytical, reporting and data management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Planning & Delivery: support development and maintenance of procurement plans aligned with schedules and budget.
• Supplier & Contract Management: assist with supplier onboarding, performance data, and contract administration.
• Cost & Performance Improvement: identify opportunities for cost reduction and track savings.
• Stakeholder Engagement: maintain relationships and escalate risks to support delivery.
• Reporting & Governance: maintain records and produce regular procurement performance reports.
