Job summary

UPP, the UK’s leading provider of on-campus accommodation, seeks a Head of Procurement and Accounts Payable in London. This senior role leads end-to-end procurement and AP with a £60m spend, shaping strategy and driving value across university partnerships.

Based in our London office with hybrid working (3 days in the office), you will influence CFO-level decisions, manage teams, and embed governance, sustainability and continuous improvement across the function.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior procurement experience within facilities management, infrastructure, real estate or a UK operating environment.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable savings and commercial improvement.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing, category management, tendering and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a UK-wide procurement strategy leveraging c.£60m spend.
• Lead category management across Hard FM, Soft FM, corporate services and utilities.
• Oversee tendering, negotiations, risk management and supplier partnerships.
• Strengthen supplier management through scorecards and market intel.
• Lead energy procurement arrangements and ESG-aligned decisions.
• Develop procurement governance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop Procurement and Accounts Payable teams.
