Job summary

Draken is recruiting a Strategic Procurement Analyst to support data-driven decisions across the full procurement lifecycle. You will work with Finance, Commercial, Engineering and Programme teams to analyse spend, supplier performance and market trends, delivering clear reports and evidence-based recommendations.

  • Collaborative with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes such as sourcing, purchase-to-pay, supplier management.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse procurement, spend, supplier and contract data to identify trends, risks, savings opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare clear reports, dashboards and management information to support sourcing decisions, bid activity, supplier reviews and procurement governance.
  • Support sourcing activity, including supplier research, market analysis, RFIs, RFQs and evaluation inputs.
  • Collate and analyse supplier proposals, pricing data and commercial information to support evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Maintain supplier, contract and procurement records to support effective supplier relationship management and contract governance.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, compliance and commercial metrics, escalating risks and improvement opportunities where appropriate.
  • Provide procurement analysis and data inputs to bids, estimates, programme reviews and sourcing plans.
  • Track actions, assumptions, supplier dependencies and procurement milestones to support delivery against agreed programme timescales.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement reporting, data quality, process efficiency and supplier performance management.

The Role

Draken is a leader in the provision of Operational Readiness, Electronic Warfare and Red Air Aggressor Training, delivering innovative solutions and high-quality services to customers across complex and mission‑critical environments.

We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Procurement Analyst to support our Strategic Procurement function through accurate data, meaningful insight and practical recommendations. This is a key role for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting trends and helping stakeholders make informed procurement decisions.

Working closely with Strategic Procurement Managers, Programmes, Finance, Commercial, Engineering and other business areas, you will support the full procurement lifecycle — from bid input and sourcing analysis through to supplier selection, contract support, in‑service delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Experience, Skills And Qualifications

  • Confident working with Microsoft Excel and data/reporting tools, including large datasets, dashboards and trackers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to procurement, programme and senior stakeholders.
  • Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of sourcing, supplier performance, contractual obligations and value‑for‑money considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to gather information, solve problems and support delivery.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise multiple activities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes such as sourcing, purchase‑to‑pay, supplier management, contract governance and lifecycle management would be beneficial.
