Job summary

Jobtailor in Milton Keynes seeks an experienced finance leader to develop budgets, forecast performance, and deliver statutory and management reporting. You will work with banking systems and ERP tools to ensure compliance and drive strategic financial insight across the organization.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while attending the office at least 12 days per month. CFA/CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or substantial work experience with professional certification
• Strong accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards knowledge
• Proven ability to analyse data, interpret findings, and make recommendations
• Experience with banking systems and ERP software (SAP/Oracle)
• Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
• Willingness and ability to attend the office on a regular basis (min 12 days/month)

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets
• Forecast financial performance and analyse financial data
• Prepare accurate financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Ensure adherence to banking regulations and tax requirements
• Identify and mitigate financial risks across functions
• Manage cash flow to support operations and investments
• Contribute to long-term financial goals and strategies
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Provide strategic financial insights to management and stakeholders
• Perform analytical work to support strategic decision-making
