Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a financial management or financial controller role.
• Experience preparing management and statutory accounts.
• Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience.
• Proven experience managing and developing finance staff.
• Strong experience using financial systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Group's Finance Function.
• Support CFO and senior leadership with financial planning and analysis.
• Prepare and oversee monthly and annual management accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
• Manage year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Manage VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory reporting.
• Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Provide variance analysis and investigate financial trends.
• Manage and develop the finance team; set objectives and performance standards.
• Drive cost savings and process improvements.
• Contribute to strategic projects and commercial initiatives.
• Ensure financial systems operate effectively and drive automation.
