Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Commercial Finance Partner in the United Kingdom to lead budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis within a fast-paced agency environment. You will influence senior leaders, manage pricing models, and oversee monthly reporting and audits.

The role requires strong commercial finance experience, excellent Excel skills, and a track record of driving margin improvements across complex client engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial, finance or business-partnering role within an agency or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of budgets, forecasts, profitability and utilisation.
• Ability to challenge scopes, budgets and resource plans to ensure profitability and deliverability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to meet revenue, utilisation and margin targets.
• Prepare revenue forecasts and budgets.
• Complete monthly and ad hoc internal reporting.
• Track performance, understand variances, and flag risks and opportunities.
• Monitor profitability, challenge variances and drive corrective action.
• Oversee accruals, deferrals and monthly reporting with MISSION Finance.
• Maintain pricing models and rate cards.
• Review commercial models for pitches, proposals and tenders.
• Support MSAs, tenders and contracts end to end.
• Monitor contractual obligations and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Ensure scopes, budgets and terms are realistic, profitable and resourced.
• Review utilisation and resource plans to improve margins.
• Coach teams on scoping, pricing and margin management.
• Build relationships with client procurement, finance and commercial teams.
• Manage and develop the Commercial Assistant.
• Lead the agency’s year-end external audit contact.
• Support Mongoose Group with monthly reporting, profitability analysis and consolidated Group performance.
