Job summary

Bouygues UK is expanding its team and seeks a Preconstruction Manager reporting to the Preconstruction Director to lead bid strategy and delivery planning. In this role you will own bid strategy, align client needs with internal delivery capability and guide the procurement and design process to ensure buildability and value.

You'll coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage risk, and ensure contract compliance while maintaining a client‑focused approach.

• Proven experience with a main building contractor.
• Substantial experience in pre-construction.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall bid strategy, positioning and win approach.
• Interpret client requirements and define win themes and value proposition.
• Align client drivers and act as the interface between client expectations and delivery.
• Oversee cost planning and commercial positioning.
• Define construction methodology and sequencing strategy.
• Validate programme realism and risk allowances; ensure buildability.
• Lead identification of key risks and opportunities.
• Oversee design development to support bid strategy and constructability.
• Guide procurement strategy and early supply chain engagement.
• Lead internal governance processes and align stakeholders.
• Own the quality and consistency of bid production and submission.
