Job summary

Skilled Careers seeks a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead the pre-construction process for projects across London and the Southeast, primarily in education. You will report to the Pre-Construction Director and drive bid strategies from EOI through award, coordinating clients, consultants, designers and the supply chain.

The role requires strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, deep experience in tender management and a track record of delivering commercially viable bids for

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pre-construction and tender management.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, programme, sequencing and buildability.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to challenge proposals for best value.
• Excellent client, consultant and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender information and develop the overall bid strategy.
• Lead and coordinate bid submissions, including writing and reviewing differentiators.
• Manage Bid Managers, Bid Writers and pre-construction teams.
• Develop tender programmes, resources and budgets to meet milestones.
• Lead tender meetings and site visits to assess constraints.
• Collaborate with clients, designers and consultants to understand project needs.
