Job summary
National Energy System Operator (NESO) is hiring Power System Engineers to join our Strategic Energy Planning team. The roles cover power-system analysis, modeling, and strategic network planning across transmission-distribution interfaces, with a focus on net-zero energy goals.

Qualifications
- Experience in power-system studies incl. load flow and contingency analysis.
- Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Strong report-writing and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop network designs to support power system requirements.
- Model and validate network studies across GSP interfaces.
- Automate analysis workflows using DIgSILENT and scripting.
- Interpret and review power-system studies for operability.
- Collaborate with Transmission Owners and DNOs to agree solutions.
- Produce clear technical reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead and represent NESO internally and externally.
