Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is seeking a PMO Manager in Portsmouth to oversee the full contract lifecycle—bidding, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing. You will report to the Head of PMO and collaborate with PMO, Project Managers, Work Package Managers, Financial Controlling, Lead Engineers and Supply Managers to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to required quality.

The role emphasizes governance, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of aerospace and defence industry is desirable.
• Track record with technical projects including scheduling, logic checking, earned value, risk management and best practice.
• Experience in resource management, planning and forecasting.
• Experience in working within a PMO including scheduling, cost control, risk management and configuration control.
• Good understanding/experience in using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project and risk analysis software, such as Active Risk Manager, Primavera Risk Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating the day-to-day management of the PMO team assigned to projects.
• Provide oversight and reporting on project performance - KPIs, Issues, Dependencies, EVM and resource demand.
• Leading /Co-ordinating governance reviews and communicating complex information clearly and effectively.
• Managing key stakeholders, facilitating governance reviews and communicating complex information clearly and effectively.
• Meet the evolving needs of Space Digital, including: Conforming to recognised best business management practice, standards and continuous improvement.
