Job summary

Unum UK is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Project Management Office across Core Business Change. You will establish governance, oversight, and reporting frameworks to align delivery with strategy, while coaching project and programme teams and sourcing insights for executives.

You'll drive continuous improvement, manage risks and dependencies, and explore AI/automation opportunities to enhance capacity and impact across a varied portfolio in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in PMO, portfolio or programme management.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and delivery controls.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders with clear insight.
• Experience using AI, automation or technology to improve PMO processes.
• Ability to lead and develop PMO teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop PMO frameworks, standards, methodologies and controls.
• Provide governance and delivery assurance across projects and programmes.
• Produce portfolio reporting, dashboards and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Manage portfolio risks, issues, actions, dependencies and decisions.
• Support resource planning, capacity forecasting and financial reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates and processes.
• Leverage AI, automation and technology-led solutions to improve efficiency and impact.
• Lead, coach and support PMO colleagues, project managers and programme managers.
